Injury Motorcycle Collision on I-65

Date of News Release: 08/15/2009

(Elizabethtown, Ky.) -- At 1140 hours on Friday, August 14th, 2009, a 2004 Honda motorcycle, operated by a Robert Holzknecht, was traveling northbound on I-65 in the right hand lane. For unknown reasons Mr. Holzknecht lost control and veered off of the right side of the roadway. The motorcycle overturned and ejected Mr. Holzknecht and both slid down an embankment and came to rest at the bottom. Mr Holzknecht was not wearing a helmet and was transported to University of Louisville Hospital by Lifenet. Mr. Holzknecht was admitted to University of Louisville Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
