News Release

Injury Collision on Western Kentucky Parkway

Date of News Release: 07/19/2009

(Elizabethtown, Ky.) -- Kentucky State Police responded to a report of an injury accident on the Western Kentucky Parkway at the 128.5mm east bound. Matthew D. Clark 26 of Bowling Green, Kentucky was operating a 1993 Ford passenger traveling east bound when the driver lost control of the vehicle went off the right shoulder of the roadway and overturned and struck a tree. The driver stated the right rear tire blew.

The driver was not injured and refused treatment and transport.

The Passenger (1) Augusta N. Clark 27 of Bowling Green, Kentucky was ejected from the vehicle and received life-threatening injuries and was transported to University of Louisville Hospital via LifeNet. Mrs. Clark was not wear her seat belt.

Passenger (2) 13 year old female juvenile of Leitchfield, Kentucky received non-life threatening injuries was also transported to Kosair Hospital via LifeNet.

Passenger (3) 2 year old male juvenile of Bowling Green, Kentucky received non-life threatening injuries was transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital by Hardin County EMS.

Passenger (4) 4 year old female juvenile of Bowling Green, Kentucky received non-life threatening injuries was transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital by Hardin County EMS.
