Fatal Collision on KY 448

(Elizabethtown, Ky.) -- The Elizabethtown Post of the Kentucky State Police responded to a fatal accident 2 miles East of Brandenburg on KY 448. Unit 1, a 1983 Chevy Pick Up operated by David Jupin (a 36-year-old white male from Ekron, KY) was traveling West on KY 448. Unit 1, appeared to have left the roadway. The operator of unit 1 overcorrected, reentering the roadway, causing the vehicle to spin, leaving the roadway again. As the vehicle left the roadway, it traveled down an embankment, overturning one time. The operator, who was not wearing a seat belt, was partially ejected from the vehicle. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by the Meade County Coroner.
