Injury Collision on Fuller Road

(Elizabethtown, Ky.) - On April 27, 2009, at 3:14 pm eastern time, the Elizabethtown Post of the Kentucky State Police responded to an injury accident on Fuller Road, approximately 2 miles west of Rineyville. Unit 1, a 1993 Toyota Tercel, operated by Martel M Selig (a 24-year-old female from Vine Grove, Ky), was traveling westbound on Fuller Road. Unit 2, a 1997 Dodge Ram pickup, operated by Michael D Reed (a 48-year-old male from Cecilia, Ky), was traveling eastbound on Fuller Road. Ms. Selig's vehicle crested a hill in a curve, it crossed the center line and struck Mr. Reed's vehicle head-on. Ms. Selig suffered minor injuries and was transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital by Hardin County EMS. Ms. Selig's passenger, John D Love (a 26-year-old male from Glendale, Ky) was ejected from the vehicle and suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. Mr. Love was flown from the scene to University of Louisville Hospital by LifeNet Air Ambulance. Mr. Reed was not injured. The investigation into the accident is ongoing, with Trooper Chris Berry being the investigating officer.
