1 Injured in a Single Collision on I-65

Date of News Release: 10/09/2009

(Bowling Green, Ky.) -- Sarah Thompson was northbound on I-65 at the 54 mile-marker when she changed from the right to the left lane of travel. Ms. Thompson' vehicle drifted off the left shoulder of the roadway causing her to lose control and strike the cable barrier. Ms. Thompson' vehicle then crossed both northbound lanes of travel and struck a rock embankment causing her to overturn and strike another rock embankment. Ms. Thompson' vehicle came to final rest on its roof facing northwest. Ms. Thompson was taken by Hart County EMS to T.J. Samson where she was stabilized and then transported to U of L Hospital.
