Fatal Motorcycle Collision on US 68 in Barren County

(Bowling Green, Ky.) -- Mitchell Eldridge was driving a motorcycle, was traveling westbound on US 68 and Hannah Colvin was traveling eastbound on US 68. Mr. Eldridge's motorcycle entered into the apex of the right hand curve , and crossed over the double yellow center line entering the east lane of the road. Mr. Eldridge's motorcycle then collided with Ms. Colvin's vehicle in a head-on manner. Ms. Colvin's vehicle continued traveling east and exited the right shoulder of the roadway before coming to final rest in a field. Mr. Eldridge's motorcycle exited the east shoulder of the road, and came to final rest in a ditch. Mr. Eldridge was ejected from his motorcycle and came to final rest in a yard on private property. Mr. Eldridge was pronounced deceased on scene by Coroner Mike Swift. Ms. Colvin and her passenger (Michael Colvin) were not injured. Trooper Hodges' investigation is ongoing.
