Two Injured in Motorcycle Collision on I-65

(Bowling Green, Ky.) -- Richard Lee Dickinson was driving a motorcycle and was traveling northbound on Interstate 65 near the 61 mile marker. According to statements from both the operator (Richard Lee Dickinson) and passenger (Margaret Barbour), it appears the rear tire of Mr. Dickinson's motorcycle went flat. Mr. Dickinson then lost control of the motorcycle and laid it down on the bike's left side. Mr. Dickinson's motorcycle skidded for approximately 78 feet before coming to final rest on its left side off the right shoulder of the interstate. Both riders were wearing helmets at the time of the accident. Mr. Dickinson was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital by Air Method for non-life threatening injuries. Ms. Barbour was transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, and was later flown to the University of Louisville Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
