Five Injured in a Two Vehicle Collision on the Western Kentucky Parkway

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- Clifford Groves, age 48 of Sebree, KY, was operating a 1990 Peterbuilt tractor-trailer eastbound on the Western Kentucky Parkway in the right (slow) lane. The tractor-trailer was hauling gravel/rocks. Meoshe Hunter, age 31 of Jeffersonville, IN, was operating a 1997 Ford Aerostar eastbound on the Western Kentucky Parkway in the left (fast) lane. Mr. Groves' tractor-trailer was approaching another vehicle traveling in front of him. Mr. Groves did not see Ms. Hunter's vehicle and merged into the left lane striking it. Ms. Hunter lost control of her vehicle and veered into the grass median. The vehicle overturned and crossed both westbound lanes of travel. It came to rest upright in the westbound emergency lane. The tractor-trailer stopped in the eastbound emergency lane. Meoshe Hunter was transported by ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. Two of her passengers, Cedric Hunter and Zurie Crumbaugh, were transported by ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. The third passenger, Zabrina Crumbaugh, was flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center for treatment. Mr. Groves was transported by ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. All subjects involved were using restraints.
