Two Injured and One Arrested in a Two Vehicle DUI Collision

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- Mrs. Jessica R. Hurst was traveling north on US 41. Mr. Mark A. Stambush was also traveling north on US 41 behind Mrs. Hurst. Mrs. Hurst attempted to make a right hand turn onto Hamilton Drive when she was struck in the rear by Mr. Stambush. Mrs. Hurst's vehicle overturned coming to final rest upside down on the roadway. Mr. Stambush's vehicle remained upright coming to final rest facing north on US 41. During further investigation, it was discovered that Mr. Stambush was driving under the influence of drugs. Mrs. Hurst and her passenger were transported to the Regional Medical Center by Med-Center Ambulance Service for treatment. Mr. Stambush was lodged in the Hopkins County Jail on the charges of Driving Under the Influence 1st Offense, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Offense, and Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree 2 counts.
