Drug Arrest in Hopkins County
Date of News Release: 11/16/2009
(Madisonville, Ky.) -- Kentucky State Troopers were investigating an anonymous drug tip in St. Charles when their investigation led them to a residence on Christian Privilege Road. When the Troopers arrived at the residence David L. Bean fled on foot. Trooper Brandon McPherson gave chase through the woods and apprehended Mr. Bean. Mr. Bean was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and approximately 11 grams of methamphetamine. The drugs have an approximate street value of $1100. Mr. Bean was charged with Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd or Greater Offense, Fleeing or Evading Police 2nd Degree (On Foot). He was lodged into the Hopkins County Detention Center.
