An Oak Grove, KY Man Arrested on Felony Drug Charges

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- On Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at approximately 11:45 p.m., Trooper Derek Smith conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by Desmond Camp, age 30 of Oak Grove, KY, on I-24. Through further investigation, Mr. Camp was found to have in his possession several "rocks" of suspected, crack cocaine. He was also determined to be under the influence of suspected, illegal drugs. Mr. Camp was arrested and charged with the Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense-Cocaine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Offense, DUI 1st Offense, Careless Driving, Failure to Wear Seat Belt & No Insurance 1st Offense. He was lodged in the Christian County Detention Center. Oak Grove Police Officers Ryan Perry and James Layne assisted Trooper Smith.
