News Release

Drug Arrest in Todd County

Date of News Release: 09/28/2009

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- Trooper Franklin was attempting to locate a suspect vehicle in a vandalism complaint when he observed Ms. Susan R. Johnson speeding. Once Ms. Johnson was stopped she was discovered to be under the influence. Because of her lack of cooperation in giving consent to search her vehicle, the Christian County Canine unit was called to assist. Prior to the canine being used, Ms. Johnson admitted to having meth and marijuana in her possession, in which she intended to sell. The canine alerted to the officers the presence of contraband inside the vehicle. Ms. Johnson advised where the drugs were and was arrested for Speeding, No Insurance, DUI 1st, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Meth). Ms. Johnson was lodged in the Todd County Detention Center.
