5 Injured in a Two Vehicle Collision on KY 507

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- Dustin C. Hardison was operating a 1979 Chevrolet pickup truck eastbound on KY 507. Timothy J. Young was operating a 1999 Dodge Durango southbound on KY 181. Mr. Hardison failed to yield right of way and pulled into the intersection. The two vehicles collided at the intersection of KY 181 and KY 507. Both vehicles exited the right side of the roadway. Mr. Young's vehicle struck a utility pole before coming to rest of the roadway in a ditch. Mr. Hardison's vehicle came to rest in a ditch. Mr. Hardison refused treatment at the scene. Two passengers in Mr. Young's vehicle, Lisa Young and Desiree Young, were flown from the scene to the Vanderbilt Medical Center for treatment. Two other passengers in that vehicle, Kassidy Young and Shynelle Young, were transported by ambulance to the Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment. Mr. Young was transported in a private vehicle to the Jennie Stuart Medical Center. All subjects involved were wearing seatbelts.
