Post Two 2009 Kentucky State Police Citizens Police Academy

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- The Kentucky State Police Post 2 Madisonville is now accepting applications for the 2009 Kentucky State Police Citizens Police Academy. The 11-week academy is slated to begin on September 29th and conclude December 8th. Students will meet Tuesdays from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. where they will learn about the many facets of the Kentucky State Police including patrol, criminal investigations, and drug investigations. Students will also get to take part in simulated traffic stops and evidence collection.
The academy will be held at the Madisonville Community College. Applications can be obtained at the Kentucky State Police Post 2 or by contacting Post 2 at 270-676-3313. Applications can also be obtained by visiting http://www.kentuckystatepolice.org/posts/post2.htm. Anyone 18 years of age living within the Kentucky State Police, Post 2 district is welcome to apply. There is no cost to attend. All applicants will be subject to a background check.
