Hopkins County Drug Roundup

Date of News Release: 08/14/2009

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- On Friday, August 14, 2009, beginning at approximately 6:00 a.m., officers from the Kentucky State Police Post 2 Madisonville arrested 19 individuals on numerous drug charges in Hopkins County. The arrests were the result of a year-long investigation by Trooper First Class John Komar pertaining to the illegal manufacturing of methamphetamine. The investigation is continuing and more arrests are expected. Officers from KSP DESI (Drug Enforcement/Special Investigations) West, the Hopkins County Sheriff's Department, the Madisonville Police Department, the Nortonville Police Department, Hopkins County Probation and Parole, and the Hopkins County Detention Center assisted with the arrests.
