News Release

Crittenden County Escapee Arrest

Date of News Release: 06/09/2009

(Madisonville, KY) - On Tuesday, June 09, 2009 at approximately 8:35 a.m., the Kentucky State Police Post 2 Madisonville received a call from the Crittenden County Detention Center in reference to an escapee. The escapee, Ryan E. Knight, was participating on a work detail on Crayne Cemetery Road when he walked away. Several units were dispatched to the area to attempt to locate Mr. Knight. KSP CVE Lieutenant Kevin Rogers was already in the area observing for the escapee. At approximately 9:18 a.m., Lieutenant Rogers located Mr. Knight with Sarah C. Sorrells in a vehicle on Crayne Cemetery Road. Both subjects were arrested without incident. Mr. Ryan E. Knight was charged with Escape 2nd Degree & Theft By Unlawful Taking Under $300. Ms. Sarah C. Sorrells was charged with Complicity To Escape 2nd Degree. Both were lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
