Christian County Drug Arrest

Date of News Release: 04/16/2009

(Madisonville, Ky.) - On Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at approximately 10:35 p.m., Trooper Jacob Wilson conducted a traffic stop on a 1995 Jeep operated by Kimberly Newton for a traffic violation. Trooper Wilson determined that Ms. Newton was under the influence. She was placed under arrest. Upon further investigation, Trooper Wilson located drugs and drug paraphernalia inside Ms. Newton's vehicle. She was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Offense, Improper Equipment, Careless Driving, No Person Shall Have More Than One Operators License, Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs 1st Offense & Prescription Controlled Substance not in Proper Container 1st Offense. Ms. Newton was lodged in the Christian County Detention Center.
