News Release

Hopkins County Non-Injury Crash with Road Closure

Date of News Release: 04/13/2009

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- John Jedd was operating a 1994 Kenworth debris removal truck southbound on the Edward T. Breathitt Pennyrile Parkway. The contents in the truck consisted of storm debris such as limbs and trees from the January ice storm. As Mr. Jedd"s vehicle was traveling southbound, he lost control. The vehicle exited the right shoulder of the roadway and struck a guardrail. The vehicle overturned and came to rest in a ditch. Mr. Jedd refused treatment at the scene. He was wearing a seat belt. Both southbound lanes had to be closed for approximately 40 minutes in order to upright the vehicle. Traffic was down to one, southbound lane for approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes. At the present time, all lanes are back open.
