Hopkins County Felony Drug Arrest

(Madisonville, KY) -- On April 4, 2009, at approximately 01:45 hours, Trooper Smith with the Kentucky State Police, was on routine patrol when he observed Paul Browder turn in front of him without using a signal. During the traffic stop, Mr. Browder was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Through further investigation, Marijuana was located inside the vehicle along with an undisclosed amount of money. Drug paraphernalia including small plastic baggies were also recovered from the vehicle. Trooper Smith arrested Mr. Browder and charged him with Failure To or Improper Signal, Operating Motor Vehicle Under Influence 2nd Offense Aggravating Circumstances, Trafficking in Marijuana Less Than 8 oz. 1st Offense, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Offense. He was taken to the Hopkins County Detention Center where he was processed and lodged.
