Todd County Drug Arrest

Date of News Release: 03/28/2009

(Madisonville, Ky.) - Trooper Savage, along with Sergeant Jason Newby, Trooper Mark Franklin, Trooper Mike Dennis, Trooper Jackie Cottrell and Trooper First Class John Komar from the Madisonville Post, were investigating a drug complaint on West Jefferson Davis Highway. During the investigation, the Troopers located Ryan Phillips and Lindsey Sanders outside a residence on West Jeff Davis Highway, along with the vehicle that the two had been traveling in. Inside the vehicle, Trooper Savage located several items of drug paraphernalia and components used to manufacture methamphetamine. Mr. Phillips was also found to be in possession of marijuana. Mr. Phillips and Miss Sanders were both arrested at the scene and then transported to the Todd County Jail, where they were lodged.

Ryan Phillips was charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Offense or Greater and Manufacturing Methamphetamine.

Lindsey Sanders was charged with License Not in Possession, Failure to Notify Address Change to Department of Transportation, Failure to Produce an Insurance Card, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Manufacturing Methamphetamine.
