News Release

Drug Arrest in Hopkins County

Date of News Release: 03/06/2009

(Madisonville, Ky.) - Trooper First Class John Komar was assisting Hopkins County Probation and Parole conduct a home visit on Anna Grace. During the initial contact Trooper Komar discovered a small amount of marijuana and a small baggie of methamphetamine in plain view. Officers asked for consent to search and both residents gave written consent. During the search portions of a working methamphetamine lab were found along with components used to manufacture methamphetamines. A rifle was also found at the residence. Both subjects were charged and housed at the Hopkins County Detention Center. James E. Grace was charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine), Possession of Anhydrous Ammonia with Intent to Manufacture Methamphetamines, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.Anna M Grace was charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Trafficking In a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine), Possession of Anhydrous Ammonia with Intent to Manufacture Methamphetamines, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
