Fatal Collision on KY 181 in Todd County

(Madisonville, KY) - James Frogue was operating a 1998 Chrysler Town and Country mini-van southbound on KY 181. Jimmy Pigg was operating a 2005 Toyota Scion northbound on KY 181. For an unknown reason, Mr. Frogue's vehicle crossed into the northbound lane and struck Mr. Pigg's vehicle head-on. Mr. Frogue's vehicle came to rest on the southbound shoulder partially blocking the southbound lane. Mr. Pigg's vehicle came to rest in the middle of the roadway blocking both lanes of travel. Eva Frogue was pronounced dead at the scene by the Todd County Coroner's Office. James Frogue was flown from the scene to the Vanderbilt Medical Center for treatment. Jimmy Pigg was transported by ambulance to Gateway Medical Center for treatment. James and Eva Frogue were not wearing seat belts. Jimmy Pigg was wearing a seat belt. The investigation is continuing by the Kentucky State Police.
