Injury Collision on I-24 in Christian County
Date of News Release: 02/22/2009
(Madisonville, KY) - Christy Muscar was operating a 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue westbound on I-24 when she crossed the median into eastbound traffic. Frederick Eick was eastbound driving a 2002 International Semi-truck with a box style trailer. Mr. Eick saw the Oldsmobile headed at him and attempted to switch lanes to his right when he felt the impact to his trailer. The Oldsmobile went under the trailer and tore out the rear axles. Christy Muscar sustained multiple injuries and was flown by Vanderbilt Life Flight to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN. Frederick Eick was not injured.
