News Release

Hopkins County Drug Arrest

Date of News Release: 02/22/2009

(Madisonville, KY) - Trooper Bob Winters and Trooper John Komar were conducting a Traffic Safety Checkpoint on Old Nortonville White Plains Road. Daniel D. Holeman came through the checkpoint on a motorcycle. Upon troopers asking him for his license and insurance, Mr. Holeman sped away from the scene. After a short vehicle pursuit, Mr. Holeman abandoned the motorcycle and fled on foot though an open field and into a wooded area. Troopers continued to pursue the subject until they lost sight of him. After a brief search of the area, the subject was located and attempted to flee on foot a second time. Mr. Holeman was apprehended without further incident and lodged in the Hopkins County Jail. Daniel D. Holeman was charged with Operating on a Suspended License, Fleeing or Evading Police 1st Offense, Motor Vehicle, Fleeing or Evading Police 2nd Offense, on foot, Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st Offense, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense, Reckless Driving, Failure of Owner to Maintain Required Insurance 1st offense, and Failure to Register Transfer of Motor Vehicle.
