Drug Arrest in Hopkins County

Date of News Release: 02/14/2009

(Madisonville, KY) - Trooper Anderson stopped a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am for speeding on US 62. During the traffic stop, Trooper Anderson discovered that the passenger of the vehicle, James Felkins, had eaten a bag of Marijuana. After further investigation, Trooper Anderson discovered that Mr. Felkins had more marijuana and prescription pills on his person. Mr. Felkins age 18 of Nortonville, KY was arrested and charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence, Possession of Marijuana, Prescription Pill Not in Proper Container, and Possession of a Legend Drug. Mr. Felkins was lodged into the Hopkins County Detention Center.
