Post 1 Trooper Receives Impaired Driving Enforcement Award

(Lexington, KY) -- On Wednesday, December 2, the Governor's Impaired Driving Enforcement Awards Ceremony was held at the Embassy Suites in Lexington. Law enforcement officers, agencies, and individuals from across the state were recognized for their outstanding achievements. A trooper from Post 1 received two awards for his achievements in impaired driving enforcement. Trooper Jason Clark was recognized as being the trooper with the highest number of DUI arrests for Kentucky State Police, Post One. For the time period of October 1st, 2008 through September 30th, 2009, Trooper Clark arrested 98 impaired drivers. This represents 17 percent of the 566 DUI arrests that troopers in Post 1 made during the same time period. Trooper Clark was also recognized for having the third highest DUI arrests among all Kentucky State Police troopers and Commercial Vehicle Enforcement officers across the state. Trooper Clark began his career with Kentucky State Police in 2007 and is assigned Ballard, Carlisle, and McCracken Counties.
