Drug Arrest in Columbus, Ky

Date of News Release: 10/17/2009

(Columbus, Ky.) -- Kentucky State Police received a tip of illegal drug activity at 186 Watson Road in Columbus. Trooper Mike Cook responded to the scene and made contact with Roddirick T. Harper. Upon interviewing Mr. Harper, Trooper Cook substantiated that drugs were being sold out of the residence at that time. A search warrant was obtained for this residence. During the course of this investigation Trooper Cook recovered 29.5 grams of crack cocaine, a small amount of marijuana, a firearm and $885 dollars in cash. Mr. Harper was arrested and charged with Trafficking in controlled substance 1st degree, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He remains lodged in the Hickman County Jail. Trooper Cook was assisted by Lt. Brian Bowling, Trooper Whitney Small, Trooper Kyle Nall, Trooper Byron White, Trooper Jason Clark & the Hickman County Sheriff Department.
