Home Invasion in Lyon County

Date of News Release: 09/30/2009

(Eddyville, Ky.) -- On Wednesday morning, Kentucky State Police and the Lyon County Sheriff's office responded to a residence on US 641 North in Eddyville in reference to a home invasion. At approximately 10:30 AM, the homeowner arrived at her residence and heard what she thought was an intruder in the home. At that time, a white male in dark clothing exited the rear of the home and began running away from the residence and into a soybean field. Officers with the Eddyville Police Department and Western Kentucky Correctional Complex assisted Troopers and deputies in searching the area, but were unable to locate the suspect. The "ONE CALL" system was utilized to notify area residents of the incident. The investigation is continuing by the Lyon County Sheriff's office.
