Four Injured in a Two Car Collision In Ballard County

Date of News Release: 09/27/2009

(Mayfield, Ky.) -- Ryan C. Hardesty was travelling westbound on highway 60 in Lacenter. Two Ballard County deputies (Deputy Russell Benson Jr & Deputy Kevin Green) were parked at the Coffee Memorial Animal Clinic. Mr. Hardesty's vehicle travelled off the southside of the roadway into the parking lot of the animal clinic stricking the two deputies' vehicles. Mr. Hardesty was taken by EMS to Western Baptist Hospital and was admitted due to his injuries. Deputy Russell, Deputy Green and Mr. Thomas Childress (passenger of Deputy Kevin Green's vehicle) were taken to Lourdes Hospital were they were treated and released. KSP was assisted at the scene by the Ballard County Sheriff office and Ballard County EMS. The accident is being investigated by Trooper Brad Ramsey.
