Aircraft Crash in Graves County
Date of News Release: 06/22/2009
(Mayfield, Ky.) -- Kentucky State Police responded to an aircraft crash in northeastern Graves County. The Pilot stated that the aircraft's engine failed and he had to make an emergency landing in a wheat field near Symsonia. The Pilot did not sustain any injuries as a result of the crash and was the only occupant in the aircraft. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has been notified and will be on the scene tomorrow for further investigation. The Kentucky State Police was assisted on the scene by the Marshall County Sheriff's Department, the Graves County Sheriff's Department, and the Symsonia Fire Department.
