Update to the Assault 2nd Degree Investigation in Lyon County

(Eddyville, Ky.) -- Joshua Brantley turned himself in to authorities at 2:30 P.M. this date (05/14/2009). He was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd degree and lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.

(Eddyville, Ky.) -- Kentucky State Police are currently investigating a stabbing incident that occurred in Lyon County on Wednesday evening. At approximately 8:00 PM, May 13th, troopers responded to a complaint of domestic violence between two brothers on Dianne Road in Eddyville. Troopers discovered a 25-year-old man with multiple stab wounds. The other party involved was not at the residence when officers arrived. After an initial investigation, an arrest warrant for Assault 2nd degree was issued for 27-year-old, Joshua Brantley. The victim was transported to the Caldwell County Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Joshua Brantley has not been located at this time. Anyone who has information regarding the whereabouts of Joshua Brantley is asked to contact the Kentucky State Police at 270-856-3721 or 1-800-222-5555 (in the state of Kentucky only, does not work out of state). Kentucky State Police were assisted at the scene by the Eddyville Police Department, Lyon County Sheriff's Office, Lyon County EMS, and Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife.
