Rape Arrest in Bardwell, Ky

(Bardwell, Ky) -- The Kentucky State Police received a complaint on April 19, 2009 of a 17 year-old juvenile that had allegedly been sexually assaulted in Bardwell, Ky. After an investigation was conducted by the Kentucky State Police, arrest warrants were obtained and William A. Mathis and his wife Julie C. Bass-Mathis were arrested in Bardwell, Ky. William Mathis, 28, was charged with Rape 1st degree, Sexual Abuse 1st degree, and two counts of Sodomy 1st degree. Julie Bass-Mathis, 27, was charged with facilitation to Rape 1st degree, and two counts of facilitation to Sodomy 1st degree. The investigation is continuing by Det. Brett Miller.
