One Killed in a Hit and Run Fatality Collision on US 41-Alt

(Henderson, Ky.) -- Kentucky State Police Post 16 Henderson is investigating a hit and run fatality collision that occurred on US 41-Alternate approximately ¼ mile north of KY 425 in Henderson County on Wednesday, November 11, 2009. A white male was northbound on US 41-Alternate on a scooter when it is believed that the scooter was struck in the rear by another vehicle. The male subject was thrown from the scooter and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Henderson County Coroners Office. The name is of the victim is not being released at this time due to family notification. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday morning at the Kentucky State Medical Examiners Office in Madisonville. The Kentucky State Police was assisted at the scene by the Henderson County Sheriffs Office, Henderson County Ambulance Service, and the Henderson County Coroners Office.
