Drug Arrests in Daviess County

(Henderson, Ky.) -- On 07-29-2009, the Kentucky State Police were flying Daviess County in efforts to spot and eradicate marijuana. The KSP helicopter pilot and spotter noticed marijuana growing in a rear fenced-in area of 5813 KY 142 in Philpot. Ground troopers arrived and confirmed the cultivating of ten marijuana plants on said property. Units gained entry to the residence and discovered marijuana in the process of "drying'. Drug paraphernalia was also discoved. Due to various firearms inside the residence, Robert A. Hoskins & Gynith G. Hoskins were charged with a Marijuana Cultivating Five or More Plants (Firearm enhanced) and Drug Paraphernalia (Firearm enhanced), which enhances the penalities. Owensboro Police Street Crime detectives and Daviess County Sheriff's detectives jointly assisted in the evidence processing and arrest.
