Fatal House Fire Investigation
Date of News Release: 06/20/2009
(Henderson, Ky.) -- KSP and Whispering Meadows Fire Department were dispatched to a house fire at 200 block of Meadows Road in Morganfield, KY. Upon arriving the residence was found engulfed in flames. Kim Tipitt (Step-Mother), and Aaron Tipitt (9yoa) made it out of the residence and stated that Albert Tipitt (Father), Caitlin Tipitt (4yoa), and Austin Tipitt (8yoa) were still inside. Firefighters were able to rescue Austin from his bedroom. Austin and Aaron were life flighted to St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville. Aaron is in stable condition, Austin was later flown to Kosair's Hospital in Louisville listed in critical condition. After the fire was extinguished, Albert and Caitlin were found deceased. Detective Marc Carter and Detective Mark Boaz were called to the scene. They were assisted by Bill Compton from the State Fire Marshall's Office. Preliminary investigation appears that fowl play was not involved. Investigation is ongoing.
