News Release

Residential Burglary Investigation and Arrest

Date of News Release: 05/08/2009

(Henderson, Ky.) - The Kentucky State Police was dispatched to the Hagedorn farm on February 14, 2009 to investigate a residential burglary in which several items including a firearm were taken. KSP Detective Marc Carter and Indiana State Police Trooper Frank Smith conducted a joint investigation leading to the indictment of Clifford T. Sikes (age 23) and Jeffery L. Watson (age 25) in the May session of the Union County Grand Jury. Last night Thursday, May 07, 2009 Mr. Sikes was arrested in Evansville, IN, and Mr. Watson was arrested in Poseyville, IN. Through the course of the investigation stolen property valued at approximately $20,000.00 was recovered. Mr. Sikes and Mr. Watson are in the detention center awaiting extradition to Union County Kentucky.
