News Release

Marion County Arson Investigation

Date of News Release: 11/26/2009

(Columbia, Ky.) -- Kentucky State Police Arson Investigator Alex Wesley is investigating a residential fire that occurred at the home of Gravel Switch Volunteer Fire Department Chief Larry Vaughn. Lebanon/Marion County dispatch received a call Thursday, November 26, 2009 at 9:26 AM, that there was a fire at 109 East Railroad Street in Gravel Switch. Fire fighters responded and prevented a total loss but the home sustained significant damage. No one was at the residence when the fire occurred and there were no injuries. Detective Wesley was assisted at the scene by State Fire Marshall Deputy Mike Burk and Arson is suspected.
