News Release

Two Injured in a Single Vehicle Collision on Sulpher Springs Road

Date of News Release: 11/22/2009

(Marion County, Ky.) -- A collision occurred 11/21/2009 at approximately 8:30 p.m. when a 1988 Jeep, unknown operator, was traveling south on Sulpher Springs Road, left the roadway, struck a culvert and overturned. The operator then fled the scene in the vehicle. The vehicle was later discovered at the Junction of Sulpher Springs Road and Fairgrounds Road. One passenger in the vehicle, Steven Knowles, age 27, of Bradfordsville, was not injured and was not belted. Two other passengers, Faith Renee Nelson, age 24, of Lebanon, and Jamie Lynn Smith, age 26, of Bradfordsville, were not belted and were transported to the Spring View Hospital for their injuries and later released. All parties denied driving at the time of the collision. Alcohol is believed to be a factor.
