Two Injured in a Single-Vehicle Collision on KY 163
Date of News Release: 10/25/2009
(Edmonton, Ky.) -- Collision occurred Sunday evening 7 miles South of Edmonton on KY 163 @ 6:07pm. Justin Stilz, age 18 of Edmonton was traveling South on KY 163 in a 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse when he swerved to miss a deer, lost control of the vehicle, ran off the roadway, and struck several trees. William Rucker, age 20 of Edmonton was a passenger in the vehicle. Mr. Stilz and Mr. Rucker were not wearing a seat belt, both were treated at TJ Sampson Hospital in Glasgow.
Tpr. Daniel Stephens is investigating the collision. Barren/Metcalfe County EMS and the Summershade Fire Department assisted at the scene.
