One Killed in a Single Vehicle Collision on KY Highway 216

(Columbia, Ky.) -- Trooper Ricky Brooks is investigating a collision that occurred today at approximately 2:30 PM. 34 year old Patricia L. Lucas, of Hestand was operating a 2004 Chevy Silverado westbound on KY Highway 216. Ms. Lucas ran off the shoulder of the roadway, struck a culvert, and overturned. Ms. Lucas was pronounced deceased at the scene of the collision by the Monroe County Coroner. Trooper Brooks was also assisted at the scene by Trooper Daniel Stephens, the Monroe County Sheriff's Department, Monroe County EMS, and the Tompkinsville Fire Department.
