One Injured in a Single Vehicle Collision on the Cumberland Parkway

(Adair County, Ky) -- A collision occurred at 7:19pm on the Cumberland Parkway near the 38 mile marker. Charles Martin, age 44, of Columbia, Tennessee was operating a 2007 Mazda westbound on the Parkway, when he suffered a seizure. Mr. Martin's vehicle (belted) exited the roadway on the right shoulder, traveled down a ditch line and struck the backside of a guardrail. He was transported by Adair County EMS to Westlake Hospital where he was treated and released for his injuries. Trooper Clint Walker was assisted at the scene by Trooper David Smith, Adair County fire, EMS, and Rescue.
