Fatal Collision Involving Pedestrians

Date of News Release: 09/18/2009

(Marion County, Ky) -- A collision occurred @ 8:39 p.m. on US 68 approximately 4 miles West of Lebanon. Two pedestrians were struck by a 2006 Ford pickup operated by David A Grimes, age 51, of Mt. Washington. Ladonna J. Sallee (pedestrian), age 36, of Ekhorn was pronounced deceased at the scene by Marion County Coroner. Trena R. Summers, age 32, of Campbellsville was transported to Springview Hospital for non life threatening injuries. Summers was cited for Alcohol Intoxication.

Trooper Donnie Moses investigated. He was assisted at the scene by Sgt Bill Elliotte, Trooper Brian Coyt and Trooper David Smith. Marion County EMS and Marion County Rescue also responded.

Alcohol appears to be a factor involving the pedestrians.
