Post Fifteen 2009 Kentucky State Police Citizens Police Academy

Date of News Release: 09/01/2009

(Frankfort, KY.) -- Kentucky State Police, Post 15, is now accepting applications for the 2009 Kentucky State Police Citizens Police Academy. The 10-week academy is slated to begin on October 1st, 2009 and conclude December 10th. Students will meet Thursdays from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM EDT where they will learn about the many facets of the Kentucky State Police including patrol, criminal investigations, and drug investigations. Students will also get to take part in simulated traffic stops and evidence collection.

The Academy will be held at the State Fire Rescue Training Center located at 385 Old Greensburg Road in Campbellsville. Applications can be obtained by contacting the Kentucky State Police, Post 15 at 270-384-4796 or by visiting http://www.kentuckystatepolice.org/posts/post15.htm.

Anyone 18 years of age living within the Kentucky State Police, Post 15 counties is welcome to apply. There is no cost to attend. Once completed, applications can be mailed to: Kentucky State Police Post 15, P.O. Box 160, Columbia, KY 42728. Citizens Police Academy Applications may also be emailed to:william.gregory@ky.gov
