Injury Collision on KY 76 in Russell County

(Columbia, Ky.) -- Trooper Mike Woodrum is investigating a single vehicle collision that occurred Thursday afternoon at 12:50PM 10 miles West of Russell Springs on KY 76.

20 year old Alexandra Allgeier, of Pleasureville, Ky was traveling East on KY 76 in a 2006 Chevy Aveo when she lost control in a curve due to wet road conditions, overcorrected, and overturned. Ms. Allgeier was wearing a seatbelt, treated at the Russell County Hospital.

Two passengers in the vehicle, 21 year old Norma Beekman and 23 year old Paul Downs both of Pleasureville, Ky were wearing a seatbelt, Ms. Beekman was treated at the Russell County Hospital, Mr. Downs was not injured.

Trooper Woodrum was assisted at the scene by Russell County EMS, the Department of Fish & Wildlife, Eli Volunteer Fire Department, and the Russell County Rescue Squad.
