Update to the Injury Collision in Marion County

(Marion County, Ky.) - Tpr. Brian Coyt arrested 33-year-old Joseph B. Yaste of Bardstown, KY today at 10:44 EDT charging him with Leaving the Scene of a Accident and Possession of Open Alcohol Container in Motor Vehicle. Yaste was lodged in the Marion County Detention Center.

Date of News Release: 03/14/2009
(Columbia, Ky.) - A collision occurred at 11:36 pm on St. Francis Hwy 2 miles south of St. Francis in Marion County. Joseph B Yaste 33 of Bardstown was operating a 1997 white Ford pickup.
Mr. Yaste was traveling northbound on St. Francis Hwy when he lost control of the vehicle and struck an embankment. Mr. Yaste fled the scene on foot. A passenger, Lori Sandlin age 43 of Mt. Washington was transported to Springview Hospital. Alcohol is believed to be a factor.
Trooper Brian Coyt was assisted at the scene by Marion County fire and rescue.
