Date of News Release: 12/29/2009

(Hazard, Ky.) -- On December 29, 2009 at approximately 06:00 am Kentucky State Police in Hazard received a call of a burglary at Breedings Plumbing and Electrical Supply in the Isom Community of Letcher County.

Preliminary investigation indicates that some unknown person or persons had thrown a rock through the front door glass, gained entry and stole three Husqvarna chain saws.

The same morning at approximately 08:30 am the Kentucky State Police received another call of a burglary at Johnny Wheels which is also a business located in the Isom community of Letcher County. An employee came to work and noticed that a lock had been cut from a storage trailer. Some unknown person or persons then entered the trailer and stole four large truck tires.

The same employee of Johnny Wheels also noticed that an adjoining business to them had the front door glass broken. Someone had broken the glass with an unknown object and entered Diana's Bows and Fashions and took a large amount of clothing. The state police believe that all three burglaries are connected.
