Moonshine Still was Located in Leslie County

(Rockhouse, Ky.) -- On Tuesday, July 28, 2009, an active moonshine still was located in the Rockhouse community of Leslie County. Acting on an anonymous tip, Tpr Earl Whitaker, CVE Officers Orie Smith and Eddie Melton, along with Leslie County Deputy Oscar Fragosa located the still near a residence on Vintage Drive. Twenty eight gallons of processed moonshine and thirteen prescription tablets were seized at the residence. Marijuana was also located growing outside the residence. Lee Bray, 66, was charged with unlicensed/manufacture/sale of alcohol, illegal sale of alcohol in dry territory, illegal possession of alcohol in dry territory, cultivating marijuana less than five plants, and presciption controlled substance not in proper container. The incident is still under investigation by Tpr Earl Whitaker.
