Armed Robbery Investigation in Knott County

(Hazard, Ky.) -- On 06/19/2009 Post 13 Hazard received a call from a motorist stating they had located a female beside the road that was restrained. The victim advised Troopers that she was driving up Combs Mill Road in Knott County and came upon a male kneeling in front of his vehicle holding his chest. When she exited her vehicle to offer assistance he produced a handgun and forced her to the ground. He took the victims purse which contained jewelry and cash. The male fled the scene in a light blue passenger car direction of travel unknown. The accused is described as a white male in mid 50"s approximately 5'10" 190 lbs with gray hair wide flat nose and deep voice.
