Fatal Collision on Clear Creek Road

(Hazard, Ky.) -- On 05/26/2009 at 03:56 A.M. KSP Post 13 Hazard received a call reporting a single vehicle collision on Clear Creek Road. Evidence at the scene indicated that Michael W. Little was traveling east bound on Clear Creek Road when he misjudged a curve, skidded off the roadway, across a concrete bridge and struck a tree. It was determined that the passenger of Mr. Little's vehicle Earl M. Short, 56 years of age was dead upon arrival. Michael W. Little 45 years of age, was transported to the Hazard ARH for internal injuries and then flown to U.K. Medical Center. Neither occupant was wearing seatbelts. TPR. Brandon Thomas U/764 is investigating the collision.
