Fatal Collision on KY Highway 1098 in Breathitt County

(Hazard, Ky.) -- The Kentucky State Police Post 13 in Hazard is investigating a single vehicle accident that claimed the life of a 57 year old Breathitt County resident. On Saturday April 18th, 2009 KSP in Hazard responded to a report of a single vehicle accident that happened on Kentucky highway 1098 in Breathitt County. A 2007 Chevy Pick-up ran off the roadway struck a utility pole and overturned. The operator of the vehicle was airlifted to the UK Medical Center. A passenger in the vehicle Patty N. Fugate (DOB 03/16/1952) was pronounced deceased by the Breathitt County Coroners Office. The victim was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. Trooper John Hollon U/702 is in charge of the investigation.
